Tips to build a Community around yourself and your blog

Blogging is all about sharing. You share what interests you, what you want to tell your potential customers, your products, hooks etc.
And your sharing mission will go in vain if no one gets your message. Do you know what I mean? Imagine yourself playing a rocking music which is really amazing on a stage in front of no audience. A blog without community is just like that.
You put your most important, and valuable content out there but if there’s no one who reads it, shares it and comments on it, then what’s the use? The whole purpose of blogging goes void.
By all means you need a community around your blog and yourself, if you run a blog as a business or a promoter of your business. With a vibrant community you can expect that;
  1. Your blog posts naturally reach your community (the first tier).
  2. Your blog posts get shared by the community to their friends/fans/followers, which is multiple times of exposure to your content (other than the first tier; there can be multiple tiers here).
  3. Your blog posts go viral {as a result of (1) and (2)}.
  4. You easily become an authority in your niche (if your content is really worthwhile).
  5. Make money online – finally, ha!
As you can see, your blogging success greatly depends on the community you build around yourself and your blog.
Without further delay, let me tell you 5 powerful ways in which you can build a community around yourself and your blog.

The Best Computer Tips and Tricks: Internet Explorer 7

Disable Plug-ins

If IE runs too slowly, or if it freezes up on you a lot, try disabling some of its preinstalled add-ons. Click Tools > Manage Add-ons > Enable or Disable Add-ons to see which add-ons are enabled. Select an add-on you don't want preinstalled, then click the Disable radio button under Settings to deactivate it.

Open Multiple Web Sites

Want IE to open two or more tabs when you start it up? Go to Tools > Internet Options, then type as many addresses as you want (on individual lines) in the "Home page" field.

Change Text Size

Hold the Ctrl key and roll the mouse wheel to change Web pages' text size: Rolling up makes it smaller, rolling down makes it bigger.

Tab Shortcuts

Hit Ctrl+T to open a tab so you can visit a new site without opening a new window; browse opened tabs without taking your hands off the keyboard by hitting Ctrl+Tab.

Create a Favorites Group

Want to group like-minded favorites in folders? Open new tabs to all the sites, then select "Add Tab Group to Favorites" under the Favorites menu, and then give the group a name. Now, when you go to the Favorites menu, just click on the folder to see all the related sites in one convenient place.

Redirect Pop-ups

Pop-ups usually open in a new window, but you can instruct IE to open them in a new tab instead. Go to Tools > Internet Options, and under the General tab, select Settings in the Tab section. Under "When a pop-up is encountered:" click the radio button labeled "Always open pop-ups in a new tab."

Scrub Browser Cache

If you don't want your temporary files hanging around, you can instruct IE to delete them automatically every time you exit the browser. Go to Tools > Internet Options and open the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Security section, then click the checkbox next to "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed."

Mouse-free Browsing

You don't need a mouse to surf the Web—many functions can be performed just with the keyboard. Hitting F11 will shift the browser into full-screen mode (and back again). Ctrl+E will move the text-entry cursor to the LiveSearch box. Hit Ctrl+D to instantly add the current site to your Favorites, and Alt+D to move you automatically to the location bar.

Disable Sounds in Web Pages

If you prefer your own digital music collection to the soundtracks to be found on some Web sites, you can tell IE to keep them quiet. Go to Tools > Internet Options and open the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Multimedia section, and deselect the check box next to "Play sounds in web pages."

3 Important Mistakes that could bring “THE END” of your blog

Blogging is not only commonplace but it can also be a key component in online business success.
Why has it become such a phenomenon? No doubt the convenience plays a major role. Blogs can be easily be set up and used. Also unlike traditional website building, blogs require mostly very less technical expertise which means no fooling around with HTML and PHP codes and the like.
Blogging is that powerful tool which gives people the voice to be heard by others. On Blogs you can post your thoughts on any topic from around the world you wish and can instantly have a worldwide audience to read it. You will get to know about their opinions if they comment on it. Not only this is more interactive than the traditional website but search engines also looks at comments on your blog as fresh content.
However like everything else in life, there is a flip side of this. To make blogging work for you there are some things you need to keep in mind always which I have listed below:

5 Things You Should Do Before Quitting Facebook

Facebook has been around for almost eight years now. Over those years, it has amassed more than 900 million users under its blue banner, which is a great achievement in itself, not to mention the impact it has had on people's life, especially teenagers. However, as a result of some developments, recent or otherwise, people have been trying to limit, or cut off Facebook altogether. Personally, I can think of many reasons why they'd want to do this. But in any case, if you're one of these people, then you might want to preserve some of your most important information before saying goodbye to Facebook. Even after quitting Facebook, you can still use some of the features it provides, so you wouldn't really feel left out.

Why would you want to quit Facebook?

As I said, recently, quite a few people have been either deleting or deactivating their Facebook accounts. Perhaps Google+ is to blame. But on a broader spectrum, Facebook itself is responsible for most of it. First, of course, is the enormous waste of time. Facebook is a void where no matter how much time you put, nothing productive is gonna come out, nor will that wasted time come back. Users might end up on Facebook for hours, looking through statuses, playing games, sharing funny images, and so on.

Then, of course, is the privacy issue. People get hacked every day, or get phished for sensitive information they do not want to divulge. Contact information is being leaked and people are being spammed. Photos are edited and spread, and scandals are being made. There's really no limit to what these hackers can do. We recently wrote a post on how to protect your privacy on Facebook. You can take steps to ensure your privacy, but there's never a 100% guarantee. Hackers always seem to be one step ahead of security engineers. So for some people who don't use Facebook very much, it might be a good idea to step off altogether.

There's also the competitive attitude associated with Facebook use. Users are competing with others, and comparing each other, and hence developing complexes. Rude posts and images are not only being liked, but also being spread, which is something one wouldn't do in real life. All of this could be contributing towards psychological instability. As Bertrand Russel says, if you can't provide an outlet to your emotions, they'll make you all the more weaker. And you definitely can't express your emotions in front of a computer screen.

The bottom line is, Facebook has lost a certain of its charm. And since I've been using Facebook for around 7 years now, I can safely say that. Anyhow, you get the point. Here are some things you could do to preserve your information before logging off for good.

1. Back up your Profile

Backing up Facebook profile is one of the best ways to preserve your information. You can download a copy of your Facebook profile, with all the photos and your statuses and wall posts, along with your contacts. To back up, simply go to your Account Settings, and you'll see an option for Downloading a copy of your Facebook Data. Click on that and you'll be guided through the steps. Facebook will send you an email once it has done creating a back up for you. You can download that back up. For more information, read the article below
How To Backup Your Complete Facebook Profile

2. Sync your contacts

Android and iOS smartphones have apps that let you sync your Facebook contacts with your smartphone. iOS has SmartSync, while Android has AddressBook. These will fetch contact information from your Facebook friends, and add them to your phone book. Contact information include email addresses, phones numbers, home addresses (if available) etc. You get to choose which friends you want to Sync, and what information you want to sync. This is a really handy way of staying in touch with your friends.

3. Export Birthdays

You can also preserve birth day information for your friends. If you go over to your Facebook Events page, you will see a magnifying glass icon. Click on Birthdays, and it will appear again. Clicking on that will give you an option to export birthdays in a variety of formats compatible with major scheduling programs.

4. Organizing events

For organizing events, you don't necessarily need to use Facebook. There are other plenty of services that will create events for you. Once such is Doodle, while another is Evite. You can simply fill out the details for an event, and these services will send out emails to your friends, to which they can RSVP easily. This way, you can keep your events private. And sending out emails make them feel more personal and connected to you.

5. Back up your photos

Facebook does not allow you to transfer your photos to another site directly. But there are other indirect ways. First of all, when you back up your profile as we mentioned above, your photos will be backed up as well. But if you want to move your photos to another site, you will have to do that manually. You can, however, transfer them easily to Google's photo sharing site, Picassa. For this, you'll need a Google Chrome extension, Move Your Photos. This allows you to see all your Facebook photos as thumbnails, which you can sort or move over to Picassa.
That's it for the tips. If you have any questions, let us know in the comments below, or follow us Google+ and feel free to interact!

Know 2 Disable Error Reporting in Windows XP

The error reporting feature in Windows XP is turned on by default but you may want to disable error reporting for privacy concerns, if you're not connected to the Internet all the time, or to simply stop being alerted by it.
Error reporting works by prompting you after a critical error in the operating system or in other programs and asking permission to notify Microsoft about it. This way, Microsoft can gather technical information about serious errors from millions of users, helping them develop fixes and service packs.
If you'd like to disable error reporting, follow the easy steps outlined below.

Know Run Untrusted Programs without any Fear Using Sandboxie

I know many people who put their full trust on their Anti-Virus program. Sometimes Antivirus scanner reports that a program is infected with a Virus or Trojan, even when the program is not really infected with any malicious code. This kind of problem is known as “False Positive” or “False Alert“. I can’t blame people who accuse a program as virus whenever their antivirus reports a legitimate program as virus because they are not geeks who know how to test and see what the program does to their computer.
Few months ago I learned about a program that is able to create a virtual space in which the untrusted programs can safely run. Usually when you accidentally run a virus, it will start spreading and modify your system. But in this case, if I run the virus in the virtual space, it won’t affect your system at all and I know what it CAN do to my system.
I hope that after you’ve finished reading this article, you will no longer have worries running untrusted programs.

Path 2 know about the author of Path2Hack

PRASHANT KUMAR DAS

FOUNDER & AUTHOR OF PATH2HACH
How To Do Anything !!!!
Prashant is a 23 year old guy, currently living in Faridabad, India. He is Founder Of Thepath2hack Blog.
He is interested to search answer of all Path 2's.
Started blogging in 2012. Almost a decade before that, some of my friends tried to persuade me to start blogging. But I resisted.
You see, I love blogging. In fact, I enjoy it more than writing books. It’s far less tedious, takes less time, and affords instant feedback.

The purpose of publishing P2H BLOG was to provide high quality Blogger tutorials, widgets, Hacking , practical SEO tips and many more How to's articles.
Each post is published with a hope so that every blogger may be able to turn his free Blog template into a $300 worth professional template and may earn a healthy living online. The proof is the template that he is running at the moment.

Path2Hack,s advice to new Bloggers:

Recently, my Friend asked my advice on starting a blog. What I told her is very different from what I would have said a year ago. Many experienced bloggers might disagree with me, but I thought I would share my advice here.

When you first start blogging, there can be a lot of pressure on your shoulders.
You’ve probably read a variety of posts on what you should be doing and how you should be doing it to get started. And, more likely than not, most of these posts will have confused you, as they all say different things.
While there are certainly things you should be doing when you begin blogging, there are also a number of things you don’t need to do. Here are 7 of the most common pieces of advice that you don’t necessarily need to follow.
  • POST DAILY
There is no point is spending hours creating content when nobody’s looking anyway. And sometimes that’s not a bad thing either.
Remember, in the initial days you are testing the waters and you are bound to make mistakes. There is no need for the whole world to know.
Spend more time educating yourself about all aspects of blogging; design, content, promotion, marketing, SEO, etc.
Spend one third of your time creating content. Spend the rest of the time learning about what it takes to sustain a successful blog, developing meaningful connections with fellow bloggers and writing guest posts.
  • COMMENT ON BLOG TO DRIVE TRAFFIC
Comment away, but comment for the right reason.
If you have this notion at the back of your mind that you are commenting to drive people to your own blog, then you are writing for the wrong person – the other reader. You need to be commenting for the author of the post.
Comment when you have something valuable to add.
Comment even when you just feel like saying ‘awesome post’.
You might have read that bloggers don’t like receiving comments that just say things like that. I don’t know about others, but I sure do. I dig them.
Go ahead and say that if you want to, only don’t always expect to have a long response from the blogger.
Leave a comment when you want to let the blogger know that you enjoy their posts and you think of them as a friend, perhaps a mentor. If you are being genuine (and bloggers can always sense that), they will love you for that.
  • CREATE CONTENT
If you are new, this is what you believe, right?
If you have been at it for a while, you know this is simply not true, at least not any more.
In the beginning there were a few talented bloggers, but now there are many. Before there was a low supply of excellent writers, now it is huge. And it is becoming impossible to stand out with your content alone.
It is when you have allies in the blogging world who help spread your content that people sit up and take notice. Once you have reached that stage, you can relax and focus on your content only. Then it will be the right time.
  • ADD YOUR BLOG TO ONLINE PORTAL
People find blogs through “Word of Blog”, not by searching through millions of blogs listed in catalogues.
I admit I submitted mine to a few when I started out. I have yet to see any traffic from these places.
This is how I find blogs:
  • I look at the blogroll of the blogs I am interested in.
  • I find it through the links on the blog.
  • I follow a guest poster’s links to their own blogs.
  • I look at the retweets of bloggers I follow closely, and always find great blogs through that.
  • I very occasionally find blogs through comments.
  • FOLLOWA LIST BLOG TO STAY INSPIRED
There are many A list Wannabe bloggers who mimic the influencers. There is one big difference though; they keep telling you how they got from 19 subscribers to 6000 subscribers in 6 months.
Firstly, it’s hard to believe. Most probably these so called A-list bloggers are not counting from when they first started blogging. They are not taking into account the time taken to learn everything and form connections with other bloggers.

Do that, and all will be well.

Path 2 Remove Watermark From Image

There are several resources out there that teaches you how to remove watermark from pictures, but most of them are old. Although these guides are still relevant, in light of some new tools that has recently become available in our hands, I decided a new guide was necessary. Hence this tutorial.

Path 2 Monitor Time Spent On Different Websites (in Chrome only )

It is hard not to waste time online. With so many distractions on the Internet, if you don’t have a strong will or some kind of time management strategy, your productivity takes a serious hit.
Try this chrome extension and monitor your time usage !!!!

The extension attempts to detect user activity (by mouse movements) and will pause the timer if the user is not at the keyboard.

Know 2 move photos from phone to computer

Bump has managed to garner quite a following among iPhone and Android users, but they've so far only been able to transfer files between two mobile devices, not between their phone and their home computer.

The company's managed to find a workaround of sorts to that limitation though, and has today rolled out a new feature that will let you send photos (and only photos) from your phone to your desktop. To do so, you'll first have to update the Bump app on your phone and then head to the Bump website, at which point you can simply tap the spacebar to transfer your photos (with your phone if you want to keep the whole "bump" motif going). As you can probably surmise, that means photos are transferred to Bump's website and not directly to your computer, but that does have the added benefit of making the photos a bit easier to share on your social network of choice.

Disable Windows XP login prompt

Too tired of logging on every time you turn on your personal computer? The good news is, you can disable the logon prompt and have Windows go straight to your desktop. However, this only works for home computers, which are usually not a member of any domain. In particular, the trick only works for local user accounts.
Now, the question might come up: Why do I need to do this while I can just delete my password? Setting a password for your account increases the security level of your PC. So it is a good practice to configure your account with a strong password, but you don't have to logon every single time by applying this trick.
Some people might get more curious: If I don't have to enter my password to login, that just means everyone can login to my PC? Not really, it is only true if someone comes to your PC, physically turns it on and uses it. Other than that, any access to your PC (i.e. via network, internet, etc...) would be restricted if no/incorrect password is provided.

Create Ghost Bootable SD Card or USB Flash Drive

It's a good practice to create an image of your hard drive before you start using it. Especially when you had to build that computer from scratch and spent hours installing the operating system and all of your favorite apps...

As Symantec Ghost becomes more user friendly, people start to recognize this idea. The idea also works well when you need to clean your PC from viruses. In case anything goes wrong with the operating system, you just need to restore the image using the Symantec bootable CD.

However, the problem comes when we deal with the new version of those small laptops: The netbooks! which usually don't come with a built-in CD-ROM drive to bootup the PC.
The most simple solution would be buying an external CD-ROM drive, which costs you money. And in some cases, you just want to bootup the Symantec Ghost.... with whatever available!
The good news: Almost every recent laptop/netbook comes with a card reader, and even if you wasn't lucky enough, your laptop/netbook should have a USB port!

This guide will tell you how to create a bootable SD card or a USB flash drive with Symantec Norton Ghost.
This task can be done with several different versions of Symantec Ghost; however, the steps from this articles are based on Symantec Ghost 14.

Create a boot image from a floppy boot disk

With the CD-ROM available on almost every computer nowaday, more and more computers don't have a floppy drive... What if you have some bootup floppy disks and you just want to keep a copy of them, just in case? Well, you rather not to put the disks in the storage and expecting a few years later, you'd find them and they still work just fine! If you haven't noticed, the quality of floppy disks isn't that good. You don't want to trust your floppy disks.
The solution is simple: make a copy of your floppy disk and save it as a file (an ISO image) on your computer. Then, when you need it, you can either make a new floppy disk or even a CD out of it.
If you need the information to create a bootable CD/DVD with a bootup floppy disk or a bootup ISO image, see this article.
Requirements: Floppy drive, of course!
The following instructions are based on an image utility called MagicISO. You can choose to use a different "image" software, whichever supports this option. MagicISO is not a freeware, but a trial version will still what you need.
